Harrow Appi partnered with us to produce a virtual tour of the school in 2022 — a full-boarding campus in the mountains of Japan for pupils aged eleven to eighteen. The film was made to show families what cannot be judged from a prospectus alone: the site, the houses, and the life that sits between lessons, sport and the hill.

Harrow Appi Virtual Tour 2022 | Video Work Catch Lyt
A mountain campus. A school to walk through at a distance.
We were commissioned to produce a virtual tour of Harrow International School Appi in 2022, a full-boarding school in Japan for students from Year 7 to 13. Closely modelled on Harrow in the UK, Appi sits in some 90,000 square metres of mountain ground and, at capacity, can house 920 boarders. The brief was to let families see that place before they travelled: classrooms, boarding houses, and the outdoor life the site makes possible.
The school follows a British curriculum and sends pupils on toward universities worldwide. Around that sits a co-curricular programme of sport and the outdoors — skiing, snowboarding, tennis, golf, mountaineering, mountain biking — and a claim to pastoral care as exacting as the academics. The tour was made to hold all of that in one pass: a one-of-a-kind boarding school, shown as a place rather than only described as one.
